Hello Families,
Please welcome Lily, and her parents Lauren and Darin, to our class! The toddlers have been busy finger painting, experimenting with GAK (and the funny sounds it makes when pushed into a cup), making Valentines, playing in our new classroom restaurant, and exploring in an ocean-themed sensory table.
We continue to work on fine motor skill development, creative expression, sensory exploration, and forming our classroom community. Outside, we have really enjoyed watching the construction that is taking place next door. Last week the workers were breaking up the concrete, and this week we noticed that the dump truck had disappeared and that a big trench had been dug. The children have also enjoyed scooping the snow with the snow shovels and sliding down the slide in the Side Yard.
Please remember to send your child with all of the necessary outdoor items when it is chilly: hats, mittens, snow pants, boots, and coats. I want to let you know that I (Kim) will be gone on Tuesday, February 19. Tracy will be here with Rebecca.

BOOK SALE to benefit TCS and P-TCS! A book sale offered by Rediscovered Books will be at TCS February 19th-22nd at TCS! This is a special event you won’t want to miss. Rediscovered Books brings their best children’s books to put on display and you get to shop the wonderful collection all week! Books are regularly priced but 20% of book sales will be donated back to The Children’s School for future book purchases and P-TCS Parent Education book club events.
Parent Education Event: Rediscovered Books will also be conducting our P-TCS parent education event on Tuesday, February 19th at 6:00 PM. They will highlight the books they brought and special topics in children’s literature. Come with questions and leave with books! Childcare provided.
P-TCS meeting: Tuesday, February 19th at 7:30 PM at TCS.
P-TCS School-wide Playdate: Join us on Sunday, February 24th for our next playdate. It is at Planet Kid at 10:30 AM. We hope to see you there!
