Admissions

As a non-profit, independent school, we emphasize healthy child development and stimulating learning for young children and their families. We offer a variety of programs for young preschool, preschool, pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten-age children.

Our preschool classes provide a developmentally-appropriate education program for preschool age children.

We are recognized for our commitment to children’s lively and meaningful learning. Classes are small and teacher-to-child ratios ideal (1:5 to 1:8). The developmental program helps children two to eight years old build competence and confidence.

Gender and age balance of a classroom may be considered in enrollment decisions. The Children’s School admits and welcomes children from all families, without discrimination on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, color, religious beliefs, family configuration or disability which can be reasonably accommodated.

There is a non-refundable application fee. We keep your child on an age-appropriate waiting list for potential enrollment from the time of application through second grade.

Families who are offered an opening in the school but do not respond to the offer remain on the waiting list but go to the bottom of the list.

Enrollment priority is given to present families (current students first, then siblings), then alumni families, and finally, new families, according to their original date of application.
