Tuition Assistance
The Children's School, in continuation of our long-standing tradition of providing assistance to families for whom full tuition prohibits enrollment, invites families to apply for partial scholarships. We are able to provide scholarships to families because of the hard work and strong participation of the Parents for The Children's School and other school families.
Award Decisions
The Children's School has joined the School and Student Service For Financial Aid (SSS) through the National Association of Independent Schools. SSS staff analyzes family applications and a Report of Family Contribution is sent to the applying family and The Children's School Tuition Assistance Committee. Final decisions about awards are made by The Children's School Tuition Assistance Committee based on the information provided by SSS and are dependent on the availability of funds.
How to Apply
Complete the Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) found at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss.
The Children's School's code number is 4112.
Note that there is a processing charge for applying.
Questions and Support
- SSS has a telephone hotline for questions about the application (800-344-8328). In addition, you are always welcome to talk with Cindy Finch, TCS Director, about the application process.
- If you do not have a computer with Internet service, The Children's School can offer you time on one of ours. Please prearrange to use our computer to assure accessibility and privacy.
- If the application fee is prohibitive, fee waivers are available for families whose income falls under certain levels. Please call the school for more information.
- If you are strongly opposed to applying on-line, paper applications are available from the TCS office. Please note that they will take longer to process and your enrollment schedule may be delayed accordingly. For example, your enrollment contract showing any scholarship award will be prepared after the Report of Family Contributions is received from SSS and The Children's School Tuition Assistance Committee has made a final determination.
