Children who need full day care have their own separate preschool group, built around a rhythm of healthy activities designed to provide continuity, stability, and sound social and emotional growth. The curriculum includes dramatic play, blocks, art, music, cooking, stories and woodworking. There is a balance between indoor and outdoor activities. Children bring their lunch, and rest or sleep on cots in a separate nap room. Parents confer informally with teachers on a daily basis to share in their child's daylong activities and well being. This class is carefully balanced by age and gender to support children's friendships and development. |

Primes Class(K, 1st, 2nd)9:00-3:30 (extended day 7:30-5:30) Monday-Friday |
This multi-age classroom was created for the oldest students of our school! The Primes participate in a wide variety of activities on any given day, growing and learning as the result of a carefully structured and integrated curriculum. Teachers provide for age and ability differences through the use of small group instruction. The Project Approach enriches our studies and brings the world to our classroom. The ongoing creation of a Primes' community also enriches this learning as peers interact and learn from each other. |
